SUVs are inevitable, and even Italy’s finest couldn’t escape them. Lamborghini joined the party in 2018 with the Urus. Interestingly, this wasn’t Lambo’s first SUV, their first being the LM002 from the Eighties, but that’s a story for another day. Getting back to the Urus, it’s named after a breed of cattle, just like most Lamborghini models of past and present tend to be. Since Lamborghini is owned by Volkswagen Group, they leveraged the same platform as the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus, with the result that the Urus is not only fast, but luxurious and comfortable. Be warned though, it’s deliciously addictive and will show you that you can have a supercar experience in a family-friendly package – so you’ll be hooked!

This 2021 Lamborghini Urus is definitely a Lamborghini product from the moment you cast eyes on it. Its Nero Noctis Black paint job really showcases its angular design and crisp edges. Then, its gloss black 23-inch alloy wheels come with a slim stripe around their circumference, matching the neon green brake calipers that lie directly behind. The interior of this 2021 Lamborghini Urus comes with a digital gauge cluster and two separate touchscreens in the center console. The upper one is used for infotainment, while the lower one handles climate, seat and vehicle functions. Talk about sophisticated! You’ve got automatic dual-zone climate control, heated and ventilated front seats with power adjustment, a Bang & Olufsen speaker system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Actually, beg pardon, the climate control is not dual-zone, but four-zone because there are two zones for rear-seat passengers too. Rear-seat passengers also get two USB charging ports and a 12-volt power socket. Then, you’ll notice the sumptuous black leather upholstery and door trimmings, with neon green stitching and accents adding discrete but noticeable splashes of color. Meanwhile, when you pop the trunk, you’ll be greeted by a cavernous load space that’s more than enough for family luggage.

Engine
With a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 under the hood, this 2021 Lamborghini Urus is swift. Lamborghini reports that the engine develops 641hp and 627lb-ft, resulting in a top speed of 190mph. Power goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. This vehicle also has an Akrapovic Racing exhaust for an even more visceral soundtrack when that engine gets into its stride.
